The views though
I wish the peak 8 connect had one of those space ships
Qapla
Just confirmed I'll be there! Bringing my Donek twin to compare. Really curious how the larger sidecut feels in comparison. With a size 11 boot and a passion for carving, I've found my tribe with your channel and the community you've fostered.
I’m competing in nationals for snowboard cross and can’t wait to try out the b1 and the knapton again! I’ll be there!
"all the way to the RED line…" 😆😆😆 Sounds like me when my wife drives my Audi S4…
Large radii boards tend to get stuck in the groomer lines when its icy.
Giri's heelside superman's are soooo sick! Qapla!
Ryan Knapton, since i discovered you and your channel, every other snowboarder makes me upset.. theyre all overbootet noobs in my eyes..even the burton us open "pro's" . they can only do flips in the air and nothing else. no wounder that the japanese or chinese people were so good at the burton us open.. they've got children-size boots.. the biggest common shoe's in japan availible is us 8;)
thank you and donek i get many compliments at the mountains now. i owe you very much man.
Edge lock was terrifying at first… Then it started to get fun XD
I have a lot of practice to do before I can move up, but maybe I'll demo a bigger one next time I'm out here!
Thanks again for everything, super awesome meeting you!
What width is Giri riding? I'd planned on a Knapton twin for next season but think I'm going full directional now as I'm getting knee surgery and positive angles on the back foot are then only way I can ride
That flow looking backwards at 5:05, fkn great, just great! I can't even walk looking the wrong way.
I picked up a Ride Timeless in size 167 this season and the nice thing about that board is that it really scales up with the length. I normally prefer to ride short boards such as Lib Tech Short & Fat (146cm long with 286mm waist) and I kinda thought 167cm board would feel awkward but it really doesn't. It's 275mm waist and has 12m sidecut. I'm 182cm with size 275 boot and I ride +21/-21 angles and 275mm waist is just about wide enough to not boot out all the time (I still do a bit though). Really liking the board and I have to admit that I like the long radius sidecut a lot better than 5.8m that the Lib has.
Another cool feature about Timeless sidecut is that it has this "Elliptical Progressive Sidecut" which means that it has a smaller radius sidecut near the tip and the tail and it progresses into 12m sidecut in the center of the board. This is pretty similar configuration than how I wanted to order a custom Donek (I thought about ordering something like 7 to 12m VRS) so really a good pick to figure out if a long sidecut and pretty wide board is good before ordering a custom board (which especially shipped to Europe with all the taxes etc. is pretty expensive and it's not possible to demo). Currently I'm thinking my dream board would be the Timeless with the tail chopped off. =D I don't really like the short radius sidecut in the tail but I really like it in nose.
Have a stellar demo event! I wish I could be there.
Bro you're sooooo nasty on those edges!!!!! You're the main reason I'm learning pencil lines lol…
Where Is the demo at? Is it at Copper? If I come out there? Can you give me any suggestions on nice, but not to expensive places to stay? On and off mountain? Thank you.
I think the biggest disadvantage is gaining to much speed on very steep slopes
are you doing these giant carves on blues? or greens? hard to tell
winter season almost end. Kinda sad.
Can you ride trees and back country with that?
I'm just curious. Do you get money from the sale of the Knapton Twin boards, or do they just have your name on them?
