It looked like Benavidez threw a hook that stunned him and pulled his left glove down and Medina didn't notice that since he was stunned and then that chin was open on that side and Benavidez took advantage of it. Medina's mistake seems to be continuing to come forward even when stunned badly. Also medina is content just throwing punches instead of throwing accurate ones that will land or looking for openings. Wasted energy and Benavidez proved he was the better fighter.
