My mom used to say from the time I can remember until she passed this January "I picked the best daddy for you kids" 💕 She went to be with Jesus & my daddy 1-15-25 (both passed in their mid sixties due to cancer) and way too young. 😢 💔

I’ll never forget when my wife and I were playing with our son in the pool, how quickly and how silently he slipped under the water, under his inflatable. Right in front of our very eyes. I just stared at him, as my brain was spinning wildly out of control, trying to process what was going on. Very real moment. My wife quickly yelled which immediately kicked the switch for fight or flight, which time I grabbed him from under the water. But I kid you not, I didn’t react right away. My brain took too long to process what was happening. Never been more scared in all my life.
He was totally ok. But it happens just like that. As a former swimmer and diver, someone you would consider to be part fish – I almost lost my son to the water 2 feet in front of me, on a picture perfect sunny day.
You have a wonderful family, a true blessing. Enjoy these moments, as they are gone way too fast. We really only have a couple golden years with our kids, before they are young adults and fly the coop. These moments are more precious than gold, and should be treated that way.
I love how Jett is watching like when is my turn? He made sure to hang on to Drew so her head didnt go completely under water. He really is the best dad but dont count yourself short Shawn your great also!😊💞
