  1. Is there even any precedence for such a harsh ban? Racism is not even treated this harsh. No one should behave like Mitro did, but in a free world and a democracy any penalty or sentences need to be within a set of rules and understanding.

This does not seem democratic at all…

  2. 8 games seems fine if he had been more violent yes I would say it should be longer but for being aggressive how he was I don't see why it should be any longer

  3. The FA really trying to get more games here?! How about focus on getting your own house in order and fix all the problems around the FA. Referees crying about getting a push when they’re doing terrible jobs in general is a summary of how sensitive people are.

  4. So pushing a ref gets you 8 game ban, but breaking and opponents ankle or dangerously tackling and causing season edging injury gets you a couple games ban? Wow. Sound like He would have been better off hurting other players at this rate, and that may be the result of this kind of inconsistency! FA pretty much saying refs are more valuable that opposing players!

  5. I was reading this morning that a referee in Mexico is facing a fine and/or ban for kneeing a player in the groin! If the violence was a two way thing, it would be much more entertaining than just red and yellow cards!

  6. Does anybody remember that incident from about 10 years ago, when Ryan Babel got fined £10000 after Liverpool had been knocked out of the FA Cup by the obligatory Manchester United penalty? His misdemeanor? He posted a mock up photo on Twitter of referee Howard Webb wearing a Manchester United kit!🤣

  7. How can you, issue further punishment due to the scale of the incident but then be reluctant to compare this situation to the Bruno situation (no ban, no punishment, no debate) they need review both issues and ban both players (if required) then they can say they their reasoning of solidarity for the games. Either way, refereeing quality is so poor, an increase in technology is somehow correlated to an increase in referee incompetency, some of them probably need a slap

  8. So refs can make huge mistakes, misread or just not know the rules and make decisions that have HUGE impacts on teams, but a slight push and they freak out. The refs in the prem are pathetic, let’s hope there’s an overhaul next season

  9. What about referee making wrong decisions like the ones witnessed in the spurs Brighton game on Saturday that denying Brighton three points, what's the consequences for that?
