Asencio And isco are both worldclass players who did not got what they should
Something about asensio is that he always had to be an emergency tire when playing at madrid, starting in positions that didn't suit him well most of the time, still he cooked lots of goals. He plays better when he has some freedom to roam around the CAM position since his shooting is insane.

I was always an admirer of his talent, but I underrated him because he was always a bench player but now, I understand why he's so highly regarded in Europe. It's one thing to be technically gifted, but his decision making is so excellent and it's a rare quality for a modern playmaker to have. He's really a generational talent and under Unai, he can finally shine as a mainstay of a team that is well suited for his skillset.
