It's a massive positive to be linked to players of this calibre, I haven't given up hope of Xhaka, it's basically between us and Fenerbache, as for Anguissa he would be a brilliant addition, very experienced, full international with Cameroon, won the Serie A with Napoli last season and has some prem experience with Fulham however I can't see this 1 happening, not when he's very close to agreeing a new contract with Napoli, like I've previously said before it's a huge positive to be linked to these players and it just shows how far we've come and most importantly we'll sign some more out of nowhere that haven't even been linked
im suprised by how quickly the west ham game sold out. as long as they get behind the lads from start to end because the lads are going to need it this season
Season card holder, missed out on renewing my season card due to being abroad. All the glory hunters have taken up the rest of the season cards. I have supported Sunderland since 1968, going to Roker Park in the 1970’s and 1980’s when the average crowd was averaging just 17,000.
It's great that the fans are back to get behind the lads. I'm from Mansfield, and we come up traditionally first game of the season, even league one. We come up between and 5 and 8 times a season because of work. I'll be gutted if we struggle to get tickets this season. Unfortunately for us, it's looking that way.
2:30 this applies to ALL of us, like you said we need the Coventry atmosphere and 100% backing throughout the season. Ive had a season ticket since Premier League year's, and at one point SoL was a fortress. We need teams to dread coming here again.
I went to my first game in 1964. Stuck with them through hard times and amazing times. I remember setting fire to my scarf in the back of the Fulwell end. But I was first in the queue for my season ticket next season. STID FTM
I sat through 4 years of utter shite in League One, on freezing cold midweek nights watching crap players getting turned over by atrocious opposition. The attendances were 15-20,000(ignoring the season ticket holders that couldn’t be arsed to turn up). Our club’s fans always like to boast about our fanbase, but WAY too many of them ditched the club when it needed them most. I expect the same as before if we start to struggle in the Prem. So they deserve all the stick that’s thrown their way.
The Ellis Short era was a nightmare, the over reliance on loanees & banking on other teams results became too much to handle. The drop to Championship 17/18 season became a complete circus & trying to follow the team during that period was just stressful & it felt like everything was falling apart. The drop to EFL league One, initially thought it would be a quick bounce back to Championship but that even became a horror movie 🤯🤯. I honestly believe we should’ve been promoted back into the Championship in the 19/20 season; unfortunately the pandemic & the so-called “super computer” predicted how the table would look like towards end of season, which I very much doubted because Sunderland could’ve gotten promoted back to Championship, probably via playoffs. Thankfully KLD entered the picture & it’s great to see the team back after 8 long years and hopefully we finish in a comfortable position. Ha’Way the Lads 🔴⚪️🐈⬛
In regards to the recruitment, so far it’s been exciting seeing the approach the club is taking and hopefully they connect well on the pitch and we get to see amazing football. I’m hopefully they’ll bring in a solid goalkeeper & hopefully won’t be snatched away by Saudi clubs 🤣🤣🤣.
I have never had a season ticket till now. Grew up with me dad and grandad gannin to every game. I was always off playing hockey so never went to games, as I have grown up I moved into work and wasn’t able to get a ticket due to working weekends but this is the first year I have gotten a season ticket sorted, I am Sunderland till I die and I will be there come rain or shine
Im 30 and live in scotland for me to get to sol its about 320 mile round trip taking roughly 3 hours there and another 3 back. I was born in sunderland moved away when young but safc always stuck with me and ive always been addicted this season is my 1st season ticket i bought my ticket before the season was over so i never new what league we would be in but i still bought the ticket theres no excuses for any body to not have a season ticket there was plenty of chances to get them sorted 🔴⚪️ Plus getting the season ticket early ment i managed to get a ticket for wembley 😂
Ya right about sticking with the team, those who leave the SOL 15/20 mins before the final whistle need to take a long hard look at themselves, keep up the good work lads loving enthusiasm 🇦🇹🇦🇹
Followed SAFC for over 45 years and never once thought to stop following them. You have to take the rough with the smooth (more rough than smooth) but it’s in the blood. HTL
Wasn’t there for that 17/18 season only went to 3 or 4 games in that season including that burton Albion game were we got relegated but came back for the first season in league one with my dad and it has been some journey all of us had to witness every home and away games
A true fan sticks by the club through thick and thin. I don't go to the matches much, can't afford it, and my wife got diagnosed with cancer. 2 months ago. She's just had her 2nd operation to cut it out, but I do buy the home, away, and 3rd kits. I also watch them whenever I can. Those who slagged the plan from the start will be eating their words now. KLD has done an amazing job. I'm not keen on Speakman, who brought Beale in, but he has brought some good players in, and we have a decent coach, not manager, now. Love the signings, and I think the future is looking bright. I've been saying for the last few weeks, we need to beef up the defence with a few CB's. Love watching your channel, keep up the good work.
Totally agree with ya mate. Finish 17th and jobs a good’n! Thats all we need to aim for. Dont like people stating top half finishes and shit. Lets just focus on survival eh. Youre totally right about ellis short aswell – he threw loads of money at the club originally. Just the money was wasted by divvies. Good crack mate. Everything youve said is bang on. Consider me subscribed haha
Great signings but….. the sports commentators are gonna have a hell of a job saying their names when they’re playing, it’s like learning a new language.

With the depth we’re adding to the squad, we may even have a couple of decent cup runs this season…
Wembley again anyone? 😍

Some of those who were fully supporting last season were unable to get tickets for West Ham.
The price of success is sometimes unfair
I'm putting 50 on top 6
Don't mock me
There you go. Subscribed.👍
Was there in league one. God it was dross 😂
