He's one of my favourite players ever. Glad that he played for Chelsea, though it wasn't that involved all the time. Hope he thrives back again at Benfica. Will follow him, just like Jadon Sancho.

I say he has been unlucky with creating a meaningful relationships with the coaches that he plays for. I suspect his temperament in the training ground doesn't benefit the trust that coaches can put on him.
I pray that he will be able to fit into Maresca's tactics and stay, I really like him… To me he is technically more gifted than Nkunku but the problem is fallout with coaches, it seems he doesn't wanna accept his fate and adapt.

Most opinions about Felix fail to see the real problem, because most just hate him for the wrong reasons and want him to fail. Felix lives rent free on many heads. He's worldwide famous just because of hate stalkers. Followers are followers, no matter the reasons. Felix signed 2 millionaire lifetime contracts, in his head his life is settled. He doesn't feel he needs to prove anything to anyone, as he should, it's his life, everyone should care about their own… He loses his motivation quickly in each club. It happens all the time everywhere with a lot of youngsters, the difference is that he's probably the most famous of them all, apart from Neymar. Neymar, Ronaldinho, Felix, Pato… and a lot others, they loved to play, and when that love is replaced with obligations, demands, expectations… they lose their spark. I'm not comparing their quality, but the issue… they need the joy, and they lost it. People who think he's a loser, because he should be trying harder, running more, defending more, are just wasting their time. This has nothing to do with humbleness, he probably doesn't know either why he lacks motivation and want things to be different on new club. Maybe this is just who he is, he's not failing, maybe it's the opposite… something sparkled his magic in Benfica, can it sparkle again if he returns home? We're not all built the same way, not all of us can do well away from home. JVP, Quaresma, Simão… Here you have a crowd that loves you and cheers you all the time… out there you're just another star who needs to prove your value, and you'll only be cheered if you do. 120M was never the problem, It was Barcelona who paid for him, not Atlético. The Hate towards Felix is mostly based on the toxic relationship many people have with football in Portugal and Spain. People that just love football for what it is, a sport and entertainment, want Felix to shine, and don't want to lose him too, like Pato and others.
Felix may have a problem to keep a winning mentality all the time, but tbh all the teams that he played after Benfica, were not the best options and context for him.
His stats on fbref isn't that bad though..
