Definitely faster and better at closing down attackers than Trent, but of course the trade off is losing Trent’s passing ability and vision. There’s no such thing as the perfect player, so I’m just happy we have a solid new player in the team who can bring some energy!

loss of passing vision and attacking assistance vs increased work rate, back tracking, defensive minded and fast paced. I think it will take some pressure off the other defenders so all in all, looking good? Will be good on the counter as well with that pace, let's see how he develops with the team.

Tough to tell when they don’t have everyone there how he will fit in. 2 passes back to the keeper, a few passes to where Virgil will play, not many completed forward passes, and the 2-3 clearances he did were turnovers. He is fast and will go in for a header, so there’s that.
Our defence looks strong. Not gonna be getting past Frimpong and Kerkez easily. They got the recovery pace. Looking good.
My only concern with Frimpong is his size and strength. He is very small.
Wow, what a miserable debut. All that was missing was an own goal. No, seriously: where is the Frimpong who lives his football game by provoking series of 1v1 situations and winning with confidence. There wasn't one to be seen here. Where is the Frimpong who only goes forward? He wasn't seen here. He reliably chose the option that gives him absolute security: playing the ball back to the goalkeeper. At times, his runs were so strange; after receiving the ball, he ran many times more meters back towards his own goal than forward. I hope the whirlwind calms down again as soon as Wirtz is back.
