So this is the guy the US will have heading into the world cup in 2026? Unless he pulls some rabbit out of the hat and does surprisingly well out of nowhere then I can't see the US progressing much further than the round of 16 which is quite sad considering the hype and expectations among US fans for the tournament. I am disappointed for them too.

Look Gregg Berhalter did okay with the national team during the cycle. He got them where they supposed to go in the Fifa world cup. But I don't see him beating teams like Brazil, Argentina, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands let alone the team that eliminated them in the world cup. I feel the federation should have done better. No disrespect towards him.
I honestly can’t believe they settled on him again. Unreal. His tactics and personnel choices are terrible. This will keep the team from reaching their full potential.
What USNMT accomplished in the past 4 years is in spite of Berhalter and not because of him. His player selection, rigid game strategy, playing people out of position, and favoring poor MLS players all suck. his re-selection is criminal.
