  1. I love Stefan but I'm so happy for Cristian (and Alex!) to wear the armband. Cristian is my player of the year this year so far. He's worked his butt off. As and example, when we went to Portland he was everywhere. So proud of him.

  2. The difference wasn't "time of possession", it was more aggressive offensive play when we had possession. The own goal happened because Rothrock got in behind and put the ball in a dangerous position. If it wasn't an own goal, it would have been a "moose" goal for sure. Schmetzer has always played a too patient offense and limited our style by not counter attacking when we turn the ball over. Now, we have a few more guys who are naturally more forward looking and we look much more dangerous going forward. Previously, Lodiero and then Rusnak really were our forward looking players. They were the main force in creating chances on offense. Now, we have a lot more aggressive players who play attacking football. Rothrock, Pedro, and Georgi are true attackers. Kent is too, but hasn't really broken out yet. Feriera is like a mini Rusnak, who is forward looking "link up man" and solid finisher on the ball. The amazing thing is that Christian and Obed are dominating as a 2 man midfield given that Rusnak is more of an offensive trailer.
Alex Roldan is really playing well on both ends of the field. He's really adding that extra effective attacker on his side and causing defensive headaches for opponents who don't get back to help out on his side of the field. Hopefully Nouhou has learned to have "more focus on play and less drama for the crowd" because Reid just didn't prove himself when he had a chance. He's still young and will get there,…. but he's not quite ready to put a defender of nouhou's caliber on the bench. Now, if Morris comes back, we would be deadly…
