Just like our two ties, we got points despite our coach not because. That won't ever change and our federation will waste the most talented generation of soccer players we have ever had. I don't think our federation will care until it gets close to the 2026 world cup. They will have to care then, now they just sit in their penthouses sipping Martini's and pisssing on the fans and the country.
Gregg and that young team are going to learn on the job. Players are going to have to raise their level of play and continue to play hard for the entire game
Its ridiculous to give credit to Berhalter for correcting his lineup mismanagement at half time when its something he has repeatedly done in almost every game and should never have happened in the first place. Even when the team got "results" this summer, it was more due to last minute heroics or just dumb luck. GGG has repeatedly shown that he doesn't have a clue when it comes to player selection and placement and game tactics. It was great to get the win and a big relief, but a big disappointment that it probably saved his job.
The first half of this game should make any fan extremely nervous. The fact we have the capacity to play that bad is alarming. It was a coaching failure and an extreme lack of effort by some players.
A national team is the wrong place to tinker as a coach. Be like a doctor – first, do no harm. We need to establish a consistent system and stick with it, and play our players in their best positions – that's how they got to the national team. The players only see each other every few months, and the more there is a set system for them to step into, the better they'll mesh on the field. That was the biggest difference against Honduras – the more Gregg shifted players back into their natural positions and formation, with Adams/Yedlin, Aaronson on the wing for Sargent, 3-4-3 to 4-3-3 – the better the team clicked. It's not rocket science.

Tight shirt Twellman is wrong about the biggest question. The biggest question remains is Berhalter the right manager. I don’t think so.
