Blues fan – our recruitment strategy was clear up to now, invest long term in affordable players at the right age (mid 20s), with a good injury record and temperament – in AOC and AM we have 1 of the 3 only, so if we do go for either it will be a BIG shift just to push short term for promotion. Imo there will be more incomings just not these two

Southampton and Ipswich will undoubtedly spend more money than Birmingham and so have Wrexham. We've only actually paid a transfer fee for Kyogo. Obviously you pay loan fees and signing on fees but I think we've done well with free signings and loans. I do agree a right winger would be a good signing but the way we play the right back is the width on the right as it was last season. Mitrovic is just a nonsense rumour and if he comes back to England I think he will go to Leeds

the only way to gsain promotion is through points! Judging by initial impressions then Brum look to have enough to get the required points total for a top 2 finish. Although a Championship season is a long one. Perhaps the question you should be asking is about the P&S rules. The owners seem fairly relaxed about this, and perhaps with good reason. But a points deduction would be something of a game changer!
Brum mail says mitrovic deal not happening. Suspect we did enquire because Wagner loves a statement signing, but he'll want to be in the prem and his wages would be astronomical, he was on 6 figures a week in the championship with Fulham.

Does the club have resources that other Championship clubs don't have have? Well yes and no.
Are we any more privileged than teams with parachute payments and prem quality players? Probably not.
Clearly we are better off than other clubs though.
What is just as important as the ability to buy players is the decisions made by the recruiting team and manager.
Also, the question ignores the youth programme we have had for yonks. Remember Demarai Gray? Jude and Jobe Bellingham? Along with many others.
But other clubs fans are going to throw the accusation against us regardless so thanks for throwing fuel on that fire! lol
