  1. For once let’s keep a top player! Personally, I believe Sargent will be worth significantly more in 12 months, and he could possibly be in a squad moving up to the Premiership. We have on contract for three years – so two years left will still demand big money to take him away. Sargent is the epitome of Manning’s stated “aggressive off the ball” style, and he scores loads of goals. He will help develop our other young plays and lead like a Trojan. Keep him if we can!!

  2. JS seems a sensible, level headed chap who probably appreciates the value of a settled and happy home life. We are constantly told that he doesn't want to leave. He is guaranteed a starting place as long as he stays fit. NM clearly likes him and to a degree the tactics are tweaked to give him the best opportunity to succeed. Why would he want to swap that for a squad place at a lower PL club ? It doesn't make sense ( putting aside the huge wage rise of course). However, and this might be rather significant, I haven't heard Ben Knapper singing his praises or stating that he is not for sale – which given the club's current funding is something they could probably do. Also, someone obviously thought it appropriate to court Wolfsburg and test the waters. As I have said before, the current squad is not Neil Manning's, it is Ben Knapper's. Maybe he has a different opinion of Josh than most others ?

  3. I feel like if Poch wanted him in the squad he'd be in the squad. There's plenty of other international players in the league and Poch will be aware of the level of football played in the Championship. Considering he was the 4th highest scorer in the league last season despite being out for months I can't see playing for a top division team (in England or abroad) being the sole deciding factor in whether he makes that squad or not. If his existing record isn't enough he's clearly just not in favour for whatever reason.

  4. How can you say this, Jack? When his agent, Chris, was on your channel just this week desperately trying to get him a deal away from Norwich?

  5. I like sargent a lot. I followed his career. He was phenomenal at youth level for US. Most of his US competition is in the championship! Haji Wright, Deke, abymayang and Damien downs. This is where the third striker for US will come from. Another factor indicating he might stay.

  6. More likely to get promoted with Josh on the pitch and unless he gets injured his price will increase with a good season

Gyökeres went from Cov to sporting two years ago for £20 million at 27 Arsenal buy for £60 million

Sarge is 25 and about to hit his peak years

  7. Spot on Jack, I would love him to stay. I think his personal terms could be improved to tempt him. The only thing that might make him consider a move is the international football situation. Having said that with the teams currently linked is he going to play every game?

  8. When do MLS window open & shut? All American teams have money i think although I hope not one of them call with the money he be off. No Jack i dont want that hope he stays but he also needs to get in that international team.🤔

  9. I think we stand a good chance he stays, Manning seems to think so as he’s made him captain for the first 2 games and started a cup game which would be a perfect opportunity for our other strikers. So makes little sense to do that for a player that is certainly on their way out.

  10. Shouldn’t overlook that a lot of the strikers Josh is competing with for the USA squad are also playing in the champ. Easy for him to show he’s better than those if he stays

  11. Attinasio said we don’t need to sell Sargent so why is it even a discussion especially with 3 years left on his contract

  12. Watching the official videos and the games and he comes across really happy and content. Looks a top professional and a really decent guy.

  13. Think I'm right in saying Josh changed his mind on Wolfsburg after Attannasio came over?
    Here's the scenario :
Mark: "Do you really want to go to Wolfsburg Josh?"
Josh: "To be honest, I'm not really feeling it".
Mark: " OK Here's the deal. A club comes in with over £20m that you're really keen on (Wolves, Brentford, Everton?). If not we'll give you a lucrative 5 year contract and make you captain ".

  14. Sorry what on earth are you talking about “Norwich City fans who are trying to push JS out the door”
I haven’t hear or read that at all anywhere. Where are you getting that from?

  15. It’s a good job on the thumbnail that your face was looking confused. Because the word “mystery” on its own didn’t tell me anything did it

  16. If I were Sargent, I'd want to stay, to be part of an upcoming team, with all the excitement of aiming for playoffs or promotion. Much more fun and a better showcase than fighting for survival.

  17. Genuinely, if Sargent is sold for £20m I think we would be letting him go far too cheap. If OMARI HUTCHINSON is somehow worth £37.5m then Sarge is worth £45m if not more, and I'm not even joking 😂 We CANNOT let Sarge go cheap if we do let him go. Really hope we don't though.

  18. If norwich city want to progress its so simple keep Sargent and with the new signings we have a chance to have a good season . I'm 60 years old and was on the terraces in the 1970s when we had John bond as manager and Martin perters Duncan forbes Justin fashanu Jimmy neighbour Kevin keelan etc we kept our best players and done really well it doesn't make sense to sell our best players especially as we have good backing 💚💛

  19. I must say jack you do say your sick of Norwich fans trying to sell him but it sounds like you are trying too keep mentioning it, I'm in the camp of bury your head and hopefully he stays

  20. The reason why Leeds supporters are against Sargent is because Leeds and USMNT fans had a very heated back and forth that even made a Leeds content creator quit YouTube

This when Jesse Marsch the American manager had brought in two American players and Leeds got relegated

There’s bad blood between the two supporting groups

  21. I think Josh Sargent might be worth closer to £200 million for us, at this moment in time. I feel something special is afoot. As Manning noted, Josh sat at the dugout after being taken off and was exclaiming to Hogg on the coaching staff “how do you do this?”. He cares a bit too much right now, he sees the opportunity for goals and a promotion. He doesn’t want to risk warming the bench of a relegation team, that’ll come back round to the Championship in a year’s time (we all know how back-and-forth that is right now – I wouldn’t have expected him to have ignored that when it comes to Burnley and Leeds). He can tell he’ll get all the service he needs, in a system built for him, to prove his worth for the World Cup and USA mens. Being given the captains armband with McLean out is also no coincidence – he wants to take charge of a situation he sees potential in.

Unlike Chris Reeve (who is understandably trying to prepare himself for what we’re all too familiar with as an historical stepping stone club), I think there are a great many strategic reasons why Josh will still be here come September

  22. How about shutting up about him and letting him continue to be our player, People like yourself and the press around here (EDP, Radio Norfolk etc.) are part of the problem, You continue to advertise our stars, Pricking the ears of those at other football clubs to enquire or buy, You call it doing your job but you're not, You're just helping to destabilise our football club so I repeat… Shut up about all this transfer news
