  1. His shot stopping is elite, i dont think many people will argue about that since he has one of the highest save percentages in the prem. The issue is how prone he is to making mistakes, most errors leading to goals last season. If he can just get rid of that he is a top keeper, obviously easier said then done…

  2. His reaction and diving are insane! There's still some room for improvement on his positioning and handling but still quite good. And yeah, as the other commenter has said, it has his error leading to goals is what we are majorly concerned of. That performance against PSG in the CWC final is Robert Sanchez final form. We need the same GK for our upcoming season.

  3. The best shot stopper in the league last season, could he improve on his distribution and his positioning at times? Hell yes. He has given us a glimpse of it at the CWC. I just hope he carries on that form into the new season. I'm not expecting him to BE flawless the entire season, I just need him to be better coz the modern game requites a keeper to be the 12th man as an outfield player too.

  4. I think a bit more time and he will be really good, I will never forget his performance in the final, the only issue was that he was inconsistent, sometimes he played amazing and made me doubt what I said about him, then other times he was really bad.

  5. Our attackers and midfielders should help us this season, they should hold up play at the opposition half for more minutes. This will help in limiting the number of time the opposition team gets the ball in shooting positions…

Reducing their shooting chances will make us understand better, the hard work Sanchez has put in the team……

  6. He’s always been good let alone being panic stricken under pressure, just that some fans like making him a scapegoat even when it’s the defenders’ errors. Cwc final performance wasn’t even among his best performances for me. His performance vs Bournemouth where he saved a penalty is way better than cwc final performance simply because with Bournemouth our defenders were not yet linking up properly but after two seasons they had started having the chemistry and it’s evident with cwc performance.

  7. The issue with Sanchez has never been his shot stopping ability but his ability to pass out from the back and the absolute brain fades he sometimes gets while kicking off the ground. He's a great shot stopper and when he simplifies the other aspects he's fantastic.

  8. He’s a great shot stopper tbf I just don’t like how error prone he is once he makes less errors he looks a much better keeper

  9. If you think Sanchez is not good and he makes too many errors leading to goal…. please go and watch Alison Becker errors leading to goal then u know Sanchez is good..there was a season Allison alone had more than 15errors leading to goal, I remembered a game against city when city beat them by 4goals to nil, Alison alone was the cause of 3goals, giving passes to opponent in 18yard box or 25metre away from goals, with all this errors, there fans stick with him, didn't boo him or want him out by all means now he's the best goalie in epl….I say we give Sanchez time, his only problem is his distribution and to be honest, he is working on it seriously… just look at his delivery against PSG …those passes were incredible… give him time, he has been on form for the past 15matches with the average rating of 7.8

  10. Hes a world class shot stopper, his distribution and mental lapses that gives me fits, if he can improve those areas i think hes the guy

  11. It would be as easy to make a video of all his mistakes, errors, misjudgements, but I have to agree he has always been a very good talent. Whatever it is that caused his incredible performance at the CWC we need to see it weekly. It's not long ago we had another incredible goalkeeper join us, Mendy, but he only seemed to play well for one season, then went back to insignificance. We need a longstanding 'keeper, and an oustanding one as well. Let's hope Roberto Sanchez can be that 'keeper.
