Ngl I’m completely fine with freese or some others getting those chances. They are reliable and quality. I’d much rather have a keeper starting who’s consistently getting game time, than a keeper who is basically 3rd choice everywhere he goes. I love Matt but tbh his time is prob over similar to Zack steffen’s time. You can’t go to clubs as a keeper and willingly accept being a backup. You’re almost never going to get game time, especially for top clubs like Arsenal and city. And In this case, turner can’t even find game time for palace nor for forest at the time. It’s just not worth even keeping him around if he’s not gonna find a club asap where he can start
Does he really "need" minutes with the national team when he isnt starting for club? When it comes to someone like Gio it's non stop rattling about needing to play for club – now that Poch went another way with his keeper it's an issue? These guys really want to drag the coach because he is foreign, lets just call a spade a spade.

Matt Turner nearly got Forest relegated with the amount of cheap goals he gave away in the 23/24 season. Reminds me of Onana now.
Freese is one of my favorite mls gk’s and ive been watching his matches, and he definitely deserves the start over Turner
