Arsenal was originally asking for 35mE, had no offers near that amount so they lowered it to 30mE now they want 27mE. For a player to be worth a price there has to be someone willing to pay that and FC Porto is the closest to matching what Arsenal want. Arteta clearly does not want the player so anything above what you paid for him is a good price.
If the board thinks we're better without one then I guess it's a good deal
