I hate when broadcasts, and they all do it, slightly delay the video behind the audio. It sounds so fake when announcers start a highlight call before they could possibly know what's coming. This is a prime example.
Amazing what roids can do.
At least the Yankee Clipper never licked Trump's boots.
Joe D hit 361 homers and struck out only 369 times amazing. Judge 362 homers and 1350 strikeouts. I like Judge but he is no Joe D.
Why do the Red Sox look like the A's?
Respect. Baseball history in the making. It was wonderful to watch. Thank you.
Glad for Judge but there was only one DiMaggio.
History in the making Judge is The Lou Gehrig of our times
I think he said.."boo this"..
Ya it was at least a crush but what a swing he got all of that one
Sadly, Judge has been pretty much us Yankee fans have had to celebrate for a long time.😔
The caption implies that DiMaggio held the team record, so it is oversimplified. George Ruth hit 659 homers as a Yankee, and Judge still has fewer homers than Mickey Mantle or Lou Gehrig.
Yeah, as a Yankees fan, this gave me joy, because Boston's had the better of us since 2004. Congratulations, Judge, you make Jeter proud with your captaincy!
Best player in my lifetime
Did anyone find the ball???
Yes, he’s a great player, but commentators leave out DiMaggio lost 3 of his best years to military service
No bat flipping no staring down the pitcher just all business doing his job seeya
Since we're keeping track, it should be said Judge also passed DiMaggio in career strikeouts in his second full season. Joe had 7 full seasons in which he had more HR than strikeouts. Judge could never come close to that. Joe struck out only 13 times in 1941, the year of the 56-game streak. That's about 8-9 games worth for Judge.
All Rise
DiMaggio had to play in the old Yankee Stadium, which was a nightmare for right hand hitters. I would not jump to the conclusion that Judge is really a greater player than DiMaggio.
