Biggest puzzle for me is Alberto, mostly because I want to believe that he can be a class player for us. I was disappointed to see Moses in the 10 role when Coutinho was out when we've just spent nearly 7m on someone young & exciting meant to operate there. Moses wasn't so awful, but he played like a winger–always trying to dribble his opponent rather than pick an intelligent pass. I hope we stick with a flat back 4 & little by little start to play Coutinho & Alberto at the same time.
A sport isn't a sport unless there is more than 5 seconds of play at a time before stopping… i have never watched a full game of NFL i think i've managed a quarter.. but other than that… i've tried so many times. lol.
Allen offers us mobility which turns into possession. He's good at intercepting opposition passes. He fits in with certain players and not others in my honest assessment. If you play him with Coutinho and Lucas we're too light but it could probably work. If you play him with Gerrard and Coutinho, we're not defensive enough. If you play him with hendo and lucas, I think that works. If you play him with Gerrard and Lucas, that probably works as well. I think with Gerrard and Lucas, Allen would offer us much more possession and control. With Hendo and Lucas I think they would fair well against top teams. They're young, mobile and energetic. I wouldn't mind sitting Gerrard once and trying it out, especially considering the holiday schedule.
Google hangout before or after you record on a Monday? That way you can maybe bring up some points viewers made during the reds round up or the Friday football show? It would be a bit more interactive and it would give you stuff to talk about when there's no LFC news 🙂 as long as it's uploaded to youtube or on your website I don't mind tbh. Credit to Roy Hodgson for experimenting and picking players on merit for friendlies? If he didn't do that i would be slamming him, should be a norm, no credit from me.
More worried about llori, we know Allen can play we know what hes about and while 15 mil on the bench is alot hes young and decent, same as Alberto showed he has some skills and almost an Alonso esque style on the ball and eye for a pass. But what about llori? all i know is hes meant to be fast
home againts the lower sides i would like to see allen instead of lucas in there as i feel we dont need that proper defensive midfielder that way we will dominate games
It's the world cup mate, everyone wants to be at their fighting best for summer, can you imagine Suarez not wanting to play for Uruguay? Give him a break.
I really don't understand the constant England hate from Liverpool supporters in particular. Hogdson only has 3 more games to decide who to take to the WC so these games are clearly not 'meaningless' and players really need to stake a claim now or never!
Have to question Brendan and the scouting teams decision to sign Allen, Alberto and Aspas in the first place. Well over £20m worth of player there and they don't fit into the team.
We should spend big in January Bring in Adam Lallana, either Konstantinos Mitroglou or Jackson Martinez And either Stephen El Shaarawy or Andriy Yarmolenko (£30m-£40m) and MAYBE Alexis Sanchez for another 25m very very unlikely and almost impossible So maybe Cristian tello instead (£8m-£12m) but should definitely look at bringing in the other 3
