  1. Leverkusen should have kept Xhaka, Hradecky and Hincapie. Frimpong, Wirtz and Adli was enough revenue. Fernandez, Flekken and Quansah are expensive signings who arent good enough. Awful window for Leverkusen

  2. Hjulmand was previously involved in a project to build a national football campus in Denmark and therefore initially declined the coaching position. However, the project has now reached a point where his involvement is no longer required – which is why he has now decided to take on the role as head coach at Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

  3. No German Youth academy? Flo Wirtz? Okay, he was in Köln's YA primarily (in Leverkusen he came into the youth team as well as the professional one simultaneously). Kai Havertz? He definitely was a Leverkusen Youth academy alumnus.
But yeah, hardly any, close to none. As one could read, that was also due to their training facilities that were split up in Leverkusen: some next to the stadium, the Nachwuchsleistungszentrum at the southern end of Leverkusen. One reason, they themselves are planning a Campus (in Monheim), a similar project, I gather, to what Hjulmand was involved with until recently. Which he not only mentioned in the presser today (which was probably after you recorded this reaction), but which could be read (in Kicker a.o.) in the recent days already.
