Staley was too Egotistical of what his Defensive scheme could do… used the Defense the Wromg way….
Bosa was often lost… sometimes being asked to drop back… his forte is going after the QB and Stripping the ball… Staley just had too much on his Brain… he was had too much Caffeine the year Prior… every interview he held coffee with him… he just became his own nightmare… which led to his downfall..
It’s crazy to me that Staley tried to shoehorn his players into his scheme rather than build a scheme that utilized their individual strengths. Even I understand that concept and I didn’t even play high school football. At the end of the day though, Staley was hired to do a job he hadn’t actually earned. I am thrilled that the Chargers finally hired a proven winner and a bonafide head coach.
I agree with Joey Bosa. With Ben Herbert keeping him healthy & the new coaching staff finding a way to tap into his first few years, sky is truly the limit. I’d have just as much rage outbursts as Joey under Staleys schemes
