Actually enjoy EW commnetary in general….but this is nonsense. We need soccer players on this squad that can play. You dont compete in the WC because you a nice guy wtf!! Id argue we need a littel more not so nice guys on this squad.
England selected bunch of very good players during their golden era, with lampard n Stevie G n company. Problem is, for a real team to emerge, you need GOOD GUYS as well, players who are actually very good guys. They turn into psychologists for their teams , helping bridge gaps between your good players , new players debutants etc. The good guys might be your best players, or regular players. Point is you need them in soccer teams . Unless you played organized soccer, you won't understand it.

Absolutely NOT. Tell me why Roldan deserves that more than the plethora of European ballers we have playing over there.
This is just not a good take and encourages more MLS mediocrity which is what Roldan’s national team career is FULL of.
