Any Great White encounter is HUGE! They are enough to make you lose your breath. I had one come up on me at Catalina Island. I stood still and it swam off. It was definitely checking if I was a food source.

That's a big Shiela, she's just curious, once she found out it wasn't a food source she turned away. Sharks don't like bubbles either! Those scars are mostly from mating, but seals can do a lot of damage when they're defending themselves. White Sharks are a lot smarter than people give them credit for, they aren't mindless killers!
