I sparred with Bobby Chacon sparring partner, although I gave him a black eye (his wife was pissed), he could have wiped me out and kicked my ass. This was in an old Oroville boxing gym. He was compassionate towards me. I'm an old southpaw.. that was my only attribute.. I could swat pretty hard though. Sure liked Bobby.

arguello got exposed in this fight. chacon was beating him handlily til the cut. no wonder pryor was ab le to easily outbox and dominate arguello before knocking him out.
Frio y certero, no muy rápido, pero cortador nato del ring. Tenia además del gancho uzquierdo al hígados, un gancho derecho al pecho y su Jab era destructor. Noqueba con ambas manos y por sobre todo el gran caballero del ring
Arguello vs Salvador Sanchez would have been quite a fight. IMO Sanchez could have easily moved up to 130. Two classic boxers, great jabs, knockout power, good defensive skills.
I had Alexis losing the first 5 rounds but one was close. The cut check gave Chacon a good rest but I had Alexis winning every found starting with six. Alexis may have been down by a point or two when the fight was stopped. I think he would have KOd Bobby anyway. Chacon was a great fighter he was just in with the best.

Bobby Chacon was a legend in his own right.
Chacon did better than I thought he would. Saved from getting knocked out, though.
I loved watching Arguello in the ring. He is one of my all-time favorites. He did everything so well. Furthermore, he was an absolute gentleman.
Two of my all time favorites. Alexis for his class, power, and skill. Bobby for his huge heart, and surprising style.
