It was poor first aid. He could have caused a serious C-Spine injury, blocked the casualty’s airway more or caused damage to his own fingers. Sometimes people with good intentions can end up causing more harm.
Bundesliga, please don't encourage fake CPR. The moving the tongue to open the airway is largely a myth that keeps being repeated by players as if that's the only thing they know. Please do encourage responsible CPR training for all players!
