It's clear why they're bringing in Füllkrug—the team currently lacks a striker capable of playing with his back to the opponent's goal. Given Jiménez's form, and then his injury, Milan went almost half the season without a forward at all. Leão, Pulisic, and Nkunku—all of them aren't naturals at the striker position, but on paper, each can perform well in a two-forward formation, particularly up front, with a key player or classic pivot. Using both Nkunku and Pulisic simultaneously, for example, is certainly possible, but it imposes certain limitations on the team's play. It's a poor option if you're looking to attack rather than play by the score. The last match against Napoli is a good example of this.
Füllkrug doesn't have any unique anthropometric characteristics, but he's truly useful in the air. He's consistently participated in numerous aerial duels with each team, with varying success rates from season to season. Last season in the Premier League, he won 4.44 aerial duels per game on average – better than 90% of the league's forwards. His success rate was 43% – which is also okay for a player in his position; in the Bundesliga the year before, he won over 50% of such duels. The German won't latch onto every ball, but he's ready to constantly fight; he's definitely better than Jimenez in this regard.
If he can land a loan without an obligation to buy, he'll be a sure bet. He's the type of player the current team sorely lacks. I can see him synergizing well with Pulisic and Rafa – drawing defenders toward him and passing into space. Leão clearly needs a Giroud-like presence from his partner. It's concerning, of course, that the German's scoring record in recent seasons has been dismal. But for the winter market, he's a perfectly understandable signing. Definitely better than not having a number nine at all.

Hermano Hajjball finally Milan have a real striker with experience sure he sucks but he has some holdup play and think Pulisic/Leao when someone is holdimng up the ball and letting them make a run.
