Maybe I'm off with this thought but I get the feeling TFC are trying to replicate the Bradley/Altidore team. Altidore wasn't thought that highly of a signing either yet he worked out and he didn't even prove himself in the Championship like Sargent has. Sargent will bag goals for fun in the MLS. I wouldn't be surprised if TFC target Weston McKennie as well. Sargent the new Altidore, Mckennie the new Bradley, with Djorjie as Giovinco even though it will be hard to replicate Gio's insane output. Even signing Walker Zimmerman reminds me of TFC brining in US vet and proven MLS defender Drew Moor.
Of course he’s a good player and would be a top talent in MLS. But TFC should take a page out of the Whitecaps book and actually build a team from the ground up, not reactively. It’s been years and years of the same thing for TFC and this is more of that

I've followed Sargent for years. He would be a huge pickup. He is a beast up front and pretty underrated
