  1. Would anyone in these comments sell any of theit assets cars, bikes, houses for a bargain basement price?. I suggest not. However I do think Sarg is way over valued he hasnt done anything now for nearly 12 months.

  2. Who’s to say Josh hadn’t already had the conversations with Knapper around wanting to leave prior to the Walsall debacle and didn’t get the answers he wanted? Stupidly then refused to be selected for that game. Something triggered him from inside the club for him not being available for selection imo.

  3. We hold all the cards, I love Josh Sargent and still think he’s our best striker. Thing is he’ll want to be at the World Cup for in a once in a lifetime home World Cup, if he’s here after the deadline he’ll quickly change his mind and play and if he doesn’t well shame on him. Either they pay what we want or he stays. He should have kept playing and kept this under wraps. Shocked he’s acted like this and I do sympathise if it’s about family. Unfortunately though we need our best players and he and his team have had a shocker here. I’m 100% behind the gaffer and Ben here

  4. Fairplay to Clairemont and Knapper. Yes Sarge will get his move away from a relegation scrap he isnt up for. All he had to do was just have a quiet word in December that he wanted out. He would have got more money and everyone would be chill.

  5. Bit of perspective. At the start of the season we were desperate for him to stay. Now we are not arsed. Something exciting is brewing

  6. He just turned down leeds and sunderland Maybe just maybe he and his wife has seen and realised the way the uk is going just saying

  7. After watching Onel's Christmas special on here, when he spoke about Rowe, I would not be surprised to hear that Sargent's text was not the first communication. Knapper has a record of handling these situations badly, Gunn and Nunez. Why did Knapper say he let Nunez go to Ipswich because he didn't want an unhappy player upsetting the squad, but Clement comes in and Knapper decides to put his big-boys pants on? Looks like City are playing their best WITH the Sargent saga. 20m or bring your shoe-shine kit in on Monday.

  8. Thought Wolfsburg was a £23 million package £18 up front and the rest was add ons

Think he will go undisclosed for £18 million including add ins

Rumour that he turned down Leeds and Sunderland approaches

  9. Think Sargent is taking his lead from Trump. Just wants his own way with everything. But he is now finding that like Trump people are standing up to and holding on to what they think is right. Sargent you decided to sign a 5 year contract with no doubt a big signing on fee, you also turned down a move to Wolfsburg for £22 million. A contract should be honoured not torn up after 2 years.

  10. Well fight fire with fire if he’s refusing to play don’t pay his wages or fine him if he’s under contract it’s up to him then.
if not what is the point of a contract. Maybe a stand is needed. Great players letting us down again can’t Sargent see clement has worked miracles since he has been here

  11. Josh has seriously disappointed me and most supporters. What a shame. His eyes lit up at a 5 year contract on very good money – security for his family. But he cannot have it both ways. Hats off to PC and BK, park him until he wakes up. It can only go badly for him re World Cup.

  12. I'm sorry, but it makes no sense to keep a player who (or whose family) wants to move back home. What message does this send to other players who the club want to sign their contracts in the future? Part of the financial calculation has to be the damage being done to the club's reputation with the football players/agents community.

  13. Note: the serious channels haven't commented on 'the latest'… wonder why this is Jack? Respect for Philippe Clement and what he said I suspect? Nothing to see here people!

  14. I'm so sceptical that "family" is the main motive and sudden push factor. When you zoom out, it seems clear that this is an opportunity to turn his form around and catch the eye of Pochettino for a place in the US WC squad.

He will be absolutely desperate to make that squad. But "family reasons" is much more endearing!

  15. He was happy to sign a 5 year deal – security for his family and I can get that. But he cannot have it both ways. Not even halfway into the deal he thinks – i am behind Jovan, my team is struggling, i don't have a chance of the US team if I am not playing. If he thinks turning out for Toronto after the winter break is going to get him into the US squad, where he will be warming the bench, well wake up Josh. You could have done very well out of the German deal and we were happy. Why do your personal views mean NCFC gives up £10 mill? I am happy for him to cool in the second team forever. Let him learn.

  16. Leave the American alone! Norwich lifespan as a player is short lived. Let him move on! Rowe , Borja, and Sara are thriving! We all know the circus life if managers! Seriously Norwich! New era? We shall see!

  17. Take the 15 million. He truly isn't that good. That 23 milliion bid was ridiculous and far too high. Don't use that as the going rate. Stop thinking Norwich hold all the cards. You need a striker- so you get rid of a bad egg and use 15 million to get a striker. You need a striker to keep you from being relegated- not a Premier League striker. Christ …. buy a 5 million striker for 8 million. He doesn't need to score loads… just enough to get over the line. All this swagger and big bollocks about being a big club who don't need to sell. 2 months ago you were moaning about all the money this club has wasted. Get rid and move on.

  18. Josh is from Missouri it's not that far from Toronto 😂 what a lame excuse to be closer to his family. Norwich to Missouri takes 12 hours 20 minutes , Missouri to Toronto takes 13 Hours 7 minutes to drive.

  19. He’s taking the piss, IF it’s because of his family then pay the bloody difference in the fee with what Toronto bid and what the club want and buy yourself out of your contract. But no he wants to Hold Norwich over a barrel and for us to just accept it. Was happy to take the increased wages for all the months since he signed the 5 year knowing probably he would walk out half way through. Wants his bloody cake and eat it

  20. I think Phillip clement has done the right thing . But sargent shouldn't be allowed to call the shots . Yes we cant afford to loose the money on him but this is not right .

  21. He's under a very lucrative contract to do his job, he told his boss by TEXT "I'm not coming to work". Disgraceful. Sorry JS you're now in the same shit house club as the snake and Johnny Rowe as far as the fans.

  22. How is Toronto logistically convenient to his "family"… Given the size of North America, it's still a day's travel with a plane ride unless the rest of his family are moving from the O'Fallon in the US to Toronto in Canada… 🥴
He won't be nipping home for a home cooked meal… or babysitting from Grandma… Like now.
    I don't get it…
I bet if ManU or Spurs (or Even West Ham) put a bid in he'd be staying in England and would forget about North America…
