As much as Larin has been a great contributor to the Canadian national team in the past, I don't believe his game suits Marsch's style of play. I also feel that we have enough depth with some of our new players to fill the void.
I watched Larin play for Feyenoord and he looked completely shot. No confidence on the ball and he had 2 clear scoring chances and failed miserably on both. I used to be a big fan of Larin and thought he had to room to get even better than he was during our Qatar qualifying run. It's clear to me he has reached his ceiling and in fact has regressed significantly. If he gets an offer to come back to MLS he needs to jump at it immediately. I don't see any European sides making a play for him. The game I saw was the recent one against Real Betis
Wonger is absolutely correct! Could you ever see Team Canada's hockey Olympic team picture being posted with 3 players, who may not be on the team? That would not happen ever! Their marketing department better know which players are sure to be in the World cup, unless they get injured…
