I noticed before you whip finish the head, you applied a tiny bit of wax (I think) to the thread to wrap the head. Can you explain the reason before this technique?

Very interesting pattern, thanks for showing it to us. I do have a couple questions of you. Where do you manage to find the opossum hair you often use. It seems the perfect consistency; not to stiff, not soft like finn raccoon. Too, I wonder what you are using as head cement. Thanks again!
