  1. Phenomenal two episodes, along with the Meat Eater series. Steve never fails to entertain. His hunting journey is a story for all. Great job, Steve

  2. Being born and raised in Alaska, seeing all this effort and prep and money going into a moose hunt is a stark contrast to how many of us hunt, just trying to fill a freezer without losing our wallets. Many moose have been taken just in a backyard or randomly coming across a legal bull while working (like one my dad got when I was a kid). We definitely don't bother taking a bushplane so far out unless we have a friend that happens to fly.

  3. As a 44 year old, with a 77 year old dad, Steve's words hit home so hard. He used to take us everywhere, and it was a chore, and now I'd be the one helping him walk through the woods. Great stuff.

  4. Alaska with your son would be great. In October of 2025 I'm going to New Foundland with mine for Moose and Caribou. Can't wait

  5. How can Steve not grasp the concept of the cross hairs being the center of the circle. Come on dude you're smarter than that… Wth

  6. You know the son is thinking, “that’s gross dad” whenever he was talking about pulling something else off (instead of pantyhose) lol

  7. hahaha watching papa janis talk 2d versus steve apply'n 3d mechanics to a 2d reference and being astounded he didn't bridge that 'logic' gap. . .speaks to the generational difference in practical experience.

  8. Possibly the most meaningful episode ever made got all of us in our feelings about our dads and grandfathers 😢 and watching our dads with our kids now!

  9. Yeah Papa Janis's crosshair clock thing didn't make a lick of sense, but Steve regularly blows it at explaining things. He makes things far more complicated and convoluted than they need to be to explain a simple concept.

  10. How did Steve not understand what the old man meant by “crosshair”? lol… seriously Steve? I thought he was trolling ol man, but he was genuinely confused.

  11. I say this often and I realize it’s a coping mechanism but the only good thing about not having a father is never having to lose him. I couldn’t imagine the joy I’d have if I heard my father say he was just happy to be with me.

  12. The cross hair dammit. The old guy knows what he’s talking about. If you can’t figure it out in your head, then just button it.

  13. Honestly… I'm 'of an age' … and I know what the elder Janis speaks of. When you slow down, the wisdom you never knew you were absorbing starts to then gently reveal…
Manifestation is an apt description. You begin to realize the breathless treasure that you have in every moment. Little things you can't settle into as a younger parent, busy with life are suddenly surprising and rich.
This show and this content and the integrity it brings we all need.
Thank you to all of you for being so responsible and transparent… and for sharing.
    Blessed be gentlemen.

  14. Calling all precision shooters. Off-topic but far are you precision shooters, read on. Would you pay a premium as a precision shooter trying to break in/Zero in a new rifle, for a box of ammunition from either 8 or 4 different brands, either 10 or 5 rounds of peace, and a box of 40. As a shooter, we all know that every gun likes it's particular bullet. When you buy a new rifle, particularly some of the higher caliber is, it can get quite expensive. In order to test four or more different kinds of ammo, you end up paying quite a lot. Would anyone be interested in the idea of buying a box of 40 rounds, but a mixt box of different higher end brands. Rather than paying 45 to sometimes $100 a box it can get quite expensive to find that ammo your gun likes, would you pay $100 for a mixed box? Trying to start a business and getting input

  15. Even when you're right there's no arguing with an old timer. Lol. Poor Steve. I'm pretty sure clocks have been around longer than crosshairs.
