Joe has a winning mentality, top lad.
I felt too it was great to get in all the new guys – but being a friendly, they aren't 100% locked in to Australia until a competitive match.
I follow Ange because of the feel good factor, and have to say in the last 6 months or so, I’ve got back the feel good factor with the Socceroos. Arnie has been in the game a long time, he knows the game, and he looks quite relaxed in the role – or as relaxed as a national coach can be – and knows where he’s heading. Loving it. Back on the front foot. ✅
The lesson is the boys need to start picking up weights. Beaten up like rag dolls. Australia wont win physical games.
As a retired keeper myself I called it last year….. if he continues to improve on his current game Joe can go on to be one of Australia's great keepers and a 'shoe in' for the Premier League….. must do apprenticeship by playing first team football in strong European Leagues and not go to be a 'back up' keeper at a big club. He has the ability to play at least Championship now……
Joe reminds me of a young Mark Schwarzer.
I just can't get over how impressive Gauci's debut was! I hope he doesn't let the loss get him down, cause that was an awesome game. When Ryan retires I absolutely want Gauci in-between our sticks!
