Kayden McDonald I thought was going to be the pick
This was the correct pick.
Rule #1: Build the O-line first.
Rule #2: O-line is only as good as its weakest link. You saw what Myles Garrett and Texans did to Dylan Cook. Entire offense became dysfunctional.
There wasn't a choice of Lemon or Max. It was trade for Lemon (potentially knowing Philly paid 2x4th) or select Max.
So, assuming you got the deal for less than Philly (say a 4th and a 5th) then would you rather have:
A) Max + Wetjen + Nowakowski
B) Lemon
I am ok with Eagles taking Lemon. I think they may have spared us from a drama diva.
I really like Bernard.
Only 1 drop out of 102 attempts.
He was definitely on the board come on
Max Iheanachor dominated 2025 with zero sacks allowed including shutting down #2 overall David Bailey. Then he kicked ass at the Senior Bowl in Mobile. An alpha among alphas. Then Max tested off the charts at the combine. He's the best OT in this draft class. I don't see a project I see a plug and play. I don't think they were embarrassed either. Players get picked while on the phone with other teams during the draft more often than you think. The first 6 picks will make the roster.
