Rangers have always had decent keepers, but Butland is not the best. His distribution is abysmal and his shot stopping is average. I don't have faith in him.
Closest o came to believing we could win it was after Falkirk .But Regardless of it's going to Spain or staying it home I have always felt that football players. Can go off the boil quickly if they get a rest .Said to my son on the way to the game I was worried about Butland .As for Aasgard it's probably the most work he has put in to a game .But subbing him for Barron was silly . Gassama was the player that needed replaced
Watching this morning have to change my shift to a Tue night when you do a live one great watch as always CJ I think Danny needs a full season before we judge him hopefully a few players in over the summer I personally don't think the players have the mentality to win the league id start James Henry in the last 4 games just to drive the rest on id rather go for it and lose than sitting off teams and watch how poor we are defensively Mikey Moore and antman have to start either side of chermiti and bring bojan on if we need to but hey what do I no 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Rewatching gutted I missed it ended up with my blood sugar dropping and had a rough time but I felt it should have been Tav on for dija and moved sterling to CB and with raskin get gatusso in terrify raskin into being a player so he doesn't drop form or get the old jumper cables and channel raskin with gatusso power

With Tav leaving the club, i don't think we have a captain in this squad. On Sunday there was no leadership on the park shout the odds at players not performing, oh no one was performing. Where are we getting a captain from.
I think we've blown it because even if we beat hearts it's still not in our hands and I put that on Danny Rohl. Always start with your strongest team even if you can only get 60 minutes out of some players
RATINGS
Butland 1 – like you CJ I have been trumpeting Jack for POTY but in the last 5 or 6 games he has been poor. His distribution had appeared to be getting better when he was saving just about everything that came his way but in this last 5 or 6 games it has been piss poor. The stat you mentioned that in the last 4 games he has only saved one of the last 10 meaningful shots is frightening. It must be said though that the old adage of "we defend as a team" is TRUE and some of the defending for the goals we have been conceding since January could be described as "comical" were it not so damn serious.
Sterling 3 – He improved a little when he went to LB but at RB he was arguably at fault for the 1st goal and definitely at fault for the 2nd.
Djiga 3 – showing the striker inside to allow him to shoot was unforgivable. When I was coaching at boys club level the one thing we DRILLED into our defenders was ALWAYS show the striker away from goal i.e. on the outside. On Sunday Djiga looked more like the player we saw pre AFCON.
Fernandez 4.5 – He is, sometimes, just far too casual and now and then loses his concentration. He didn't do a lot wrong but not a not right either.
Meghoma 3 – the lad had lost his confidence. Pre Tuur Rommens he wad turning in 5's & 6's and the odd 7 but he looks now as though his confidence has gone. Part of this is that we have seen what Tuur can do and so seeing Jayden play makes us think 'please Tuur be fit enough for the Hearts game. Though it must be said, he wasn't the worst defender on the park on Sunday, yet it was him who was taken off at halftime….go figure!!!
Chukawani 3 – was really poor. We needed to control the midfield and we didn't. When pressing it MUST be done as a team not as individuals or 2's when, especially in the 1st half, the forwards were pressing it was easy for Motherwell to get the ball into midfield because our midfield was no where near theirs.
Raskin 2.5 – we are all sick of saying this, Raskin is not a No.6. That Röhl continues to play him in that role is down to Röhl. He should be telling Raskin 'you WILL play the No. 8 role or your arse is on the bench or indeed in the stand and this time the fans won't back you'. Raskin needs to play the role that is best for the TEAM, not the role that he wants to play. He got selected for Belgium because he was playing the No.8 role and was doing it brilliantly. I said in the reaction video that prior to the game I had said that we MUST control the midfield if we want to win the game, well, we didn't just NOT win the midfield, we handed it to Motherwell on a silver platter
Aasgaard 3 – got in some decent positions then wasted them.
Gassama 0 – invisible, waste of a jersey, worse than a man down. All of them apply to him in this game. He started on his favoured left side and wasn't there when we looked to play the ball down that side. That he stayed on for the whole game BAFFLES me. Was Röhl seeing something that the rest of us did not?
Miovski 5 – pressed well, chased the ball but did not get any service from Aasgaard or Gassama. As you and others say CJ, with Moore on I too reckon that we would have seen more from Miovski.
Chermiti 7 – 1st goal was a belter, the 2nd goal was RASKIN'S. Chermiti had more than 1 chance to score his second and fluffed them all.
SUBS
Moore 8 – drove us forward at every opportunity, world his socks off, played with fight and passion. He was the only positive from the game and gets my MOTM.
The rest of the subs are not worth mentioning.
The manager
Röhl 3 – got his starting 11 wrong AGAIN, got the game plan wrong AGAIN and got his subs and the timing of them, wrong AGAIN. To bring on Barron, a defensive midfielder, when we are chasing the game was unforgivable and beaten only by his decision to leave Gassama on for the whole game. These perhaps were the most glaring of mistakes. Röhl was outwitted by Askou who knew what we were going to do and he laid the traps which we inevitably fell into.
Have we blown it?
Yes. Conceivably it could come down to the last game and if (and it is a big IF), we have won our 4 games, we are left hoping that Celtic take points off of Hearts in that last game and I can, instead see Celtic lying down to Hearts rather than helping us to win the league.

2 – No I don't want Butland as our No 1 next season. He is far too inconsistent. When he's hot, he could roast hell alive, when he's cold, he could kick off another ice age.

Kelly is the best keeper we have and if anybody disagrees I'd like to point to the save he made against ajax pre season, he was going one way then had to change direction.

I said last season he had to be replaced and here we are. Lad was chucking them in left and right he’s got a howler in him and that can’t be trusted. I hope to hell he’s replaced this summer. Ps. Good vlog CJ, no Gers haven’t blown it yet. Motherwell destroyed us at Tynecastle but the difference was they missed 4 glorious chances. We have to play them again and so do septic so if Gers beat us and then septic it’s back on for them. Jambos are doing ok but not playing great and have 7 players out injured. If we get Milne and Devlin back next week we’ll have a chance to win but won’t be surprised if we get gubbed. I want us to either have the league won or be completely out of it before we go to darkheid on the last day. The thought of going there needing to draw or win doesn’t bear thinking about!
Frustrating we didn’t leave a few more bodies back at 2-2. We brought on a DM in Barron then threw everyone forward and got caught out. It was silly, when Barron came on his role should’ve been to stay back and protect the back line.
A point would’ve kept it in our hands and we could’ve overtaken hearts on GD on Monday. Now the whole thing just feels goosed

The problem is coaching. Danny isn't a man to man manager. That surely was proved on Sunday. What worries me isn't Hearts. It's Celtic, he hasn't a good record against the old has bean. If O Neil was our manager we would have won the league already. Getting your team over the line is what a coach must instill in his team. A wee word here and there to certain players. I don't think Danny does that. He is more into doing presentations and explaining what he wants. Maybe it's because he is a German. I really wanted it to work for Danny. But, if he crashes out, it won't impress the American owners. Americans don't take kindly to losers. This was Danny's litmus test. He failed at the first hurdle. Yes, we still have a chance and there is no wriggle room now. If it goes badly, I can see Danny being sacked. Remember this is the worst Celtic team in 20 years. Yet O Neil gets them over the line. A semi, a qtr final, league game coming back to draw 2.2. I think it's bye bye Danny, and he would only have himself to blame.
There's no much Butland can do with the shots that have come in recently. The defense are to blame.

Yep, usual story at this time of the year, we get ourselves into a position where we don’t need any favours from other teams, then the knees buckle. What you saw in the 1st. half on Saturday will be the norm for the next 4 games. If Celtic need to win the last game against Hearts to be champions they will.
My worry is if Celtic do go for Askou, he’s outclassed our manager 3 times out of 3 already with a club who has about 5% of our resources. How can we expect danny to be able to overcome Askou if he’s the Celtic boss, shake dannys hand after the final game and offer Askou whatever he wants to stop Celtic getting him.
