I like baseball and all, but there's just something not exciting about the way they do the home run derby, it lacks something or it's the way it's set up.
It's as though the fans are disconnected from it when these guys are all running around and circling each other.
IMO, I think it would be better if you had the guys coming out of the dug out on their own, one at a time doing their thing and then walking off to the dug out or just outside somewhere on a bench.
It makes it feel like it's their own exclusive thing and not the fans (who paid).
Just like the NBA dunk contest now, it used to be fun to watch when you had a player dunk and walk off without all this commotion and circus with overdressed clowns (players sitting on the sidelines) and rushing the court every time someone dunks. There's a reason it's getting less popular and they're trying different things, they changed the format – Keep It Simple Stupid.
Mic'd up is probably one of the best ideas ever. Whichever person and or team that thought of it should be rewarded. I don't think folks realized just how fun and silly baseball players can be. Brings people closer to the game.
Mets tried so hard to get Soto then they lost him to the Padres and then they lost to the Padres ahahahahhaha
It's crazy how many professional baseball players come from an island country like the DR. I love how they wear their emotions on their sleeve.
