I didn't particularly warm to Edwards in his post match interviews etc. but anyone going on like he was awful takes no account for context. Our team was dreadful 2 pts after 11, vitor fell out with both Brazilian CMs and was playing krejci and agbadou there it was hopeless. Absolutely no manager would've come in other than Edwards at that point because of emotional ties to the club and not only that we then sold ~100m of players in January and replaced them with 7m Armstrong. No HC in the premier League would've swapped jobs with Edwards not even scott parker at burkley. And whatever you think the fact no one at the club including Matt Jackson knew Edwards was going to be sacked is completely embarrassing. We are being run by Mendes and guo, Matt Jackson may as well be made redundant it will save us the wages same for Nathan shi seeing as Mendes dictates it all. And for all those saying Mendes delivered the best times okay but how come it's gone to pieces since then and crystal palace Brentford Bournemouth Brighton all with proper footballing directors and scouting networks for recruitment have left us for dead? About time we stopped letting Fosun throw HCs under the bus and bent the knee to this clueless Chinese conglomerate and their daft mahogany superagent

If Guo really went to Mendes and said look we need to get up at the time of asking I need you're top guy and this is the best he could come up that tells me Mendes couldn't care less how wolves get on, we are nothing more than a shop window for his clients to jump ship as soon as another opportunity comes along. I'm glad the 'raw-meat to the Fosun-haters' story about Trippier is now dead and buried. I was initially shocked and disturbed, taking it at face-value, but after a little consideration I engaged my brain, did a bit of critical thinking, and realised that these type of stories are easy click-bait and you should always regard them with a large dose of skepticism.
That's not to excuse the club if Rob Edward's sacking was dealt with unprofessionally. But once again we need to consider the fact that such stories as the 'phone-call out-of-the-blue' circulating on social media, especially the execrable X, are often not just exaggerations but complete fabrications. Such is the landscape of 'news' these days!
Good luck to Cesar Peixoto. He's got a high pressure task ahead of him as he doesn't have the buffer of having a connection to the Wolves and he's highly vulnerable to the 'never heard of him' or 'no Premier League experience' criticisms if the results aren't immediately impressive. Fingers crossed that he will be successful.

Thanks for the video, Dave. I agree that Kenny Jackett was a good manager for us, and on reflection his achievements were quickly put into the background by subsequent events. Without him we could easily have got lost in League 1.
Probably not going to happen but we need Neves and Coady back. Just like Raul, they don't have to play every game, but we need more leadership in the squad. Someone to hold everyone accountable and to a high standard.
