We love how usmt is taking todays world cup personal cause their time is now, wh not U.S? Tbe good thing about this todays usmt is that the defense and offense is completely balling and communicating together and fearless, is a lot of chip in their shoulder as they are walking into the field. They move like a delta force. This usmt is capable of wining it all as people are saying now with this spirit. And the way they move with and without the ball is of the best i ever seen in football.

The game vs Paraguay was the first time I’ve seen the USMNT execute Pochettino’s trademark “style” with excellence. It is high risk, high reward though, as it relies on bringing two defenders forward in the build through midfield which leaves the defense vulnerable if the ball is stolen and the other team can mount a quick counterattack. Australia is built around the low block, which means they will put 11 guys behind the ball on defense and force their opponents to either find/exploit the rare, temporary space inside the box or get frustrated and take long shots from outside the 18. This means the US must score early and first, forcing Australia to change their game and push players forward opening more opportunities for opponents to score goals.Their game against turkey is the perfect example. Turkey took 30 shots in that game, most from longer distances, while Australia scored first on a quick, long ball counterattack with their blazing fast striker Irankunda which allowed them to sit back where Australia is comfortable in that low block scheme.
