I can't see a full International playing for the U23's or warming the bench on a regular basis so a loan in Europe is most likely. A good prospect and shows good vision from the club

Talking of the wages, I had flashbacks to Leeds. Thank goodness for the takeover otherwise, based on wages and contracts, we could have gone the way of Leeds!!
Kuol played against Barca in Australia and looked good enough to play in a top league already. His main objective now is to make sure he gets picked in the Aussie WC squad. I'm not sure he has the stamina yet to play a full 90. But Australia hasn't got much talent up forward so I think he'll be at least used as a sub. Being a young guy Newcastle should keep him close, let him train with experienced players and make sure things go well.
Think EH said the situation with Kuol going on loan or staying is very fluid. If he has a good World Cup it may allow us to get his work permit sooner and then he can go straight into the squad for January which may allow us to hold off on signing another attacker, otherwise send him on loan to Benfica or Germany or something, some team in a similar position to us looking to challenge for Europe.

Those wages aren't 'big' wages this day and age for a senior player's contract, even if they're obsolete bench-warmers. It's Kinda standard.
