He can play CB. We can play 4 at the back or 3 with our squad. 5 subs is good and in the middle of the season injuries will eventually come and we have nice squad
What a signing.
If it is literally to have Zakaria come off the bench and rotate in the squad, would of preferred to keep Ampadu who on loan (in the same league as Zakaria) was argubly the best player on Venezia and plays a lot for his country.. cheaper, younger, home grown and can cover CB if needed.
There is a buy option to buy him for 30 million.
I think it’s a good signing. If we had signed him permanently then yeah it’s a terrible signing. A loan while we get DOF sorted and able to acquire our actual targets is a decent get.

Chelsea fields a two CM formation. You got to be very strong with a good stamina to compete. Not a fan of the formation and I see why he couldn’t fit Gilmore
He doesn’t impress me but if he is just a stock gap for more serious DMs like Bellingham and Rice, then I guess it will be allowed

To be honest Gilmour wasn't as good as the his hype. He needed at least 2 more seasons on loan before playing for Chelsea

Chelsea have a super star-studded team. Unfortunately the fan base is not always patient with managers and expectations are not realistic. You can't sign 4-5 new players and get rid of 7 but expect fireworks in the next fixture. That doesnt make sense. Chemistry takes time.
Best example at the moment is Arteta, but Klopp is another. With time Chelsea will find their rhythm ⚽️

Gallagher is not a Central Midfielder, when will people understand that? He's the same position as Mount if not more attacking, he played as CAM almost the entire season at Palace
