That was easily HBK's best ring gear of his entire run, I wish he had worn it one other time besides this. However, he only wrestled a handful of matches before he retired initially, so I guess it kind of makes sense. Some of his best ring gear he ever wore, he only wore once. Like at Wrestlemania XII when he wore the white tights with gold hearts. I think a couple of the other pairs he wore that he only wore a handful of times were the different black, blue, white, red, various striped tights he wore in mid 1996 (and One Night Only in 97).

20:00 a whole generation has Jeff Jarrett to thank for AJ styles being what he is. If Jeff Jarrett wasn’t so delusional that he was a main event star of wrestling so much that he had to start a entire wrestling promotion with his dad to make himself a NWA world champion (20 years after the NWA title meant anything) and go on a reign of terror worse then Triple H ever thought of doing. If it wasn’t for all that with Jeff Jarrett AJ styles probably would have been sign to development and given some stupid middle school teacher gimmick and after a year in the New Ecw retire quietly. But it’s funny how sometimes you get to live in the alternate universe where cool things happen. I got to see AJ Styles live in Orlando end that reign of terror. I think in 04 or 05

I know Marc Mero was a legit boxer, but his return to WWF with his rebranded persona really bums me out. The entire angle of him treating Sable like garbage was just gross. I loved his look and style as the Wild Man and thought he was criminally underrated, he deserved a longer run with the IC title. I really don't understand any of it.
The DX ERA started months before this but once Brett hart left which happened a month before this event the WWF needed a poster child after harts departure so they immediately rushed in and made DX the poster child of the WWF which then officially kicked off the attitude era.
