I think a lot of people rank Balogun higher than Pepi, but Pepi's numbers for the minutes he's got so for for PSV are really good. Pepi also seems to look better than Balogun when playing for the USMNT, but I suspect that is because Berhalter's system is more suited to Pepi's style of play than Balogun.
That is one incredibly sad list. A couple of MLS players, one playing second division football in Josh and then Pepi in a non top five league. Only Balogun is in a top five league and he only got 4 goals in 14. That said having Pepi number one in this poor list is a joke. Eredivisie got a lot of awful teams and defenders and Pepi got a total of six goals in 22 matches 😂🤦♂
4-2-3-1 with Balogun as the 10 would be interesting. Almost a 2 Striker 11 with some flexibility, because I agree with Herc that Balogun is less of the back to goal striker. Good segment!!

I agree with Herc's list. I also agree Sargent is the most complete striker of the group. However, Balogun has 2 goals and 2 assists in over 4 games worth of minutes since Gregg had come back. This includes an assist against Germany and a goal against Ghana. He's been doing decently enough under Gregg.
Cant believe Herc fixed his mouth to say Haji scored at the WC with a straight face. Flukiest goal at the tournament and he was horrible the entire time on the field.
Doesnt mean he's not playing better now but Herc eroded his credibility with that statement
Ferreira has led the Nats in goals scored the last 2 seasons. Sargent, on the other hand, hasn't scored for the Nats in over 4 years. Herc pandering to the mouth breathing Twitter crowd who rate players based off of FIFA video game ratings. Chump move and analysis.

U consider urself generous for caling dempsey a 9?? Generous is actually counting haji’s wc goal as a true 9 goal. He was used as a pin to divert the ball he didnt kno ish abt that goal
This is not going to be sufficient for success. Scoring is the USMNT's weakest attribute. Fix this and you'll see success in big games. Scoring against Honduras, Guatemala, Trinidad & Tobago, Haiti, and other island nations doesn't compare to Germany, Holland, France, Brazil, and others. Fun team to watch but for now they are the NY Jets of soccer. They can hang but not in big games.
Although injured Sargent has been playing at the highest level for the longest time out of the bunch. Balogun is probably the most talented. I'd rate those guys as 1 and 2. If I am making a tournament roster I would bring a big target man in to get on those corners and crosses. If he remains healthy I'd bring in Dike over MLS Vazquez for this role. Those are my 3. Wright and Pepi are similar players with similar output. 8 goals for Wright in a more competitive Championship v 4 goals for Pepi in Eredivisie +2 in CL one being an exciting match winner. Having 5-6 strikers playing well isn't a bad problem to have.
Haji is more of a hybrid left winger/striker IMO. He really struggles to play with his back to goal and, unfortunately, he doesn't have the work rate without the ball to effectively lead the high press.
