The keeper spilled the ball and fell down in front of someone running at him, the person running at him jumped over him but the edge of his foot grazed his stomach, with little to no force being put downwards from the runner onto the keeper. Then the keeper grabbed his face and faked an injury because he realized he was being scored on.
If you watch in slo – mo, Bowen jumped early hoping to clear Mendy. Mendy goes down but slides forward as Bowen is in the air and already on the way down. This shortens the distance of Mendy's shoulder to Bowen trailing leg.
It would have been nearly impossible for Bowen to have reacted in time and to have lifted his leg up.
I dnt understand how people can debate thats not a foul…thats was clear foul…he cud have jumped him…how did your leading leg manage to jump the keeeper n the trailing leg fail to

shaka's entire argument is that the contact was intentional, so now I guess we're deciding fouls based on split second moral judgments of the players? bowen barely touched mendy (intentional or accidental) and mendy screamed and cried on the floor like he'd been stomped on. that little bit of acting was certainly intentional, and took a deserved goal and point from west ham.

A punch that does not land is still punished or high foot that misses the face is still foul play and penalised. It's dangerous play and has to be penalised. Shaka is right.
