I bleed Dodger blue, I dont watch phillies broadcast and never heard Sanchez or his interpreter before, but his interpreter is struggling to speak, I mean I dont know spanish but Sanchez said like two sentences in 5 seconds and the interpreter translated it into a large paragraph and stuttered and took like 45 seconds? Lol like what? Hes probably making over six figures and hes just terrible. Maybe hes just a friend of his or something and not a real interpreter?

The ABS, they should take a leaf out of Cricket's playbook on that one. I get there's a difference between projected tracking and live tracking, but when it's within a very small margin, and as a human made system it has a margin of error, there should be a point where if it's extremely tight that a wrong challenge shouldn't lose their challenge as it is allowing for that margin of error…. Also, my one big issue with it is that the zone measured in the ABS is actually 2 dimensional, not 3. It doesn't account for the depth of the plate, and therefore will miss a lot of strikes just catching the front edge or coming in and just narrowly catching the back edges. If it was more of a 3 dimensional zone, it would be a more accurate overall. With that said, it's possible they left it as a 2 dimensional zone to try account for the margin of error, however that would have the opposite effect for pitches crossing the zone before/after the 2 dimensional sliver they use to adjudicate these calls.
