No way Seider doesn't make the team. He may be our best dman right now! Matter fact, only a matter of time till he forces Blashill to play him on the top line. Veleno is close. He'd have to start as a 3rd/4th line C, but I can see him becoming a Stepeh Weiss 2C player(when he was in Florida not the Wiess in Detroit lol). Raymond is still a longs way to go. The guy is raw as hell and I really don't have high hopes for him for a #4 pick(I think Eklund is MUCH better). He has not impressed me anytime I watch him. He's got good hands and shot but when he's not using them he's barely noticeable on ice. I guess he was drafted on potential so we'll see if he can mature his game. As for Zadina, Im not gonna lie he's really not as good as advertised. I hope he can become a 60 point 2nd line forward someday, anything above that is a bonus. Our stable of DMEN is what really excites me!😁
Pretty sure Stevie and the crew has Seider pencilled in the top 6. He just said that because he doesnt want to put unecessary pressure on him or any of the young guys.
Also dunno whos shitting on Zadina. Yea he hasnt put up a ton of points but his defensive game has gotten so much better. Points will come
I think Berggren also deserves to be in the conversation for possible someday superstar status. If Sieder doesn't make the team I will be shocked.
Yzerman was a fourth overall pick and he's in the hof
As a Sabres fan, I admire the Red Wings rebuild process.
Lucas Raymond ends up on The Griffins. The only way he makes the team this year is as a call up.
Zadina showed me last year his 2 way game and compete level were to be respected. Underrated set up man as well, played well with Erne
There's no way he doesn't make top 6. He's at least a bit better than Lindstrom already.
If red wings can covert better with the man advantage where they need to improve the most and better goal tending on the overtime and shootouts the one goal games that they lost, may turn into victories instead of losses.Need more fire power out of 1st and 2nd lines. With some of Yzerman additions this should helped.
Mo and Joey V are going to be with the Red Wings this upcoming season. I think Raymond is still a year away. Maybe we see him at the end of next season.
If Seider doesn’t make the team, Wings fans need to hold on and be patient. Going to be tough because I’m not sold on the nhl side being much improved from last season without a little extra. But can’t rush the kids. Yzerman knows what he’s doing. I’d trust his judgment more than most. But gonna be exciting when they are ready. Pretty sure Seider and Raymond are going to at minimum be very good to terrific. If Veleno hits too, looking at a very nice roster in a few years. Time for Cossa and Edvinsson to get his game together. And Rasmussen I imagine could see time on the wing I gather. He still could be decent too.
Definitely dont need top 2 picks to succeed. I’m sure there’s more examples than just that Blues team. Especially if the first two picks are like Yakupov or even Kreider.
Mo probably makes the team more than likely and Lucas Raymond gets to play at Grand Rapids but could see action by the late part of the season. I'm so excited to see how Raymond does on the Griffins before he makes his Wings debut.

Yzerman said himself he wasn't looking for Zadina to put up points this past season. Just wanted to see him grow his 200 foot game and he has done an amazing job developing doing just that last year. There's a sequence vs carolina last season where he dominated the ozone and back checked to steal a puck from Aho i think. Just all the important stuff that doesnt show up on the stat sheet he improved upon incredibly. He'll be just fine. And there arent 4 other dmen that deserve a spot more than Mo so he's making it for sure.
I have to say I'd be stunned if Seider isn't in Detroit next season. I thought the whole idea of the Leddy trade was to put a reliable veteran presence alongside Mo so he could learn the ropes in the NHL. The free agency moves look more like place fillers than needle movers to me. Lucas Raymond needs time, plain and simple. Not all prospects develop at "Seider speed". The fact that Yzerman has mooted leaving him in the SHL for another year is a sign of that. Personally I don't mind him being there for another year as long as he's getting the game time. Berggren should get a look at the NHL at some point this year, however he's also going to need a bit of patience so he can adjust to North American ice. I'm in agreement with many here that we desperately need to draft a legitimate#1 center. Trouble is that I think we'll be incrementally better than last season so the Shane Wright odds get longer and longer. I'd stay well away from Eichel too….
For Raymond, I just read that he WILL be in the states to play. He likely starts in GR and gets a call up early on. For Seider, he is the 3rd pair Defenseman and gets more ice time as the season progresses as he earns it. Veleno starts with the team out of camp as 3rd LW. Unless Edvinsson has an amazing camp and a great preseason, I'd expect him to be back with Frolunda. As for Cossa, similar Edvinsson, he'd have to showcase something even more special because with Greiss as back up, there is no need to rush him this year.
Prediction: Seider will one day win the Norris trophy!
Seider easily makes the Red Wings. His videos show that he's a stand out defenseman. He'll be in the conversation for rookie of the year.
There is NOOOOO point in Seider in the AHL
Yzerman wants all prospects to earn their spots, that's never been anything different than what his process is today. We want those players playing and thriving. Honestly, Seider should be ready for a top 4 roll before they put him in the NHL, he will develop better with more minutes in gr. That's the same with Raymond and anybody else. Forwards should be top 9 ready before putting in the NHL, unless their roll is bottom 6. They'll get more playing time and develop their game better in a top 6 roll in gr than a bottom 6 roll in Detroit. No reason to bring them to Detroit to play a roll we didn't draft them for.

On Raymond. I'm a frölunda fan from Sweden. And frölunda really struggled last season the whole team didn't play well. And Raymond didn't get a lot of chances. Well now you got a little better insight from over seas😎

I feel like Zadina is all of a sudden going to make a jump into a really effective player. He showed hints of it last year and I think he is just going to get better
I think big mo is ready, but I also think out of all are prospects I think Berggren has earn that the most. I’d like to see him make the team, or get many chance to play in the nhl this year. That kid to me is gonna be a superstar in 3 more years.
