The first time I saw Wes play I thought he was very athletic, had an incredible engine, not that technical. I felt he was somewhat similar to Tyler Adams. But the more I see him, the more I realize that he's much more technical than I thought. And he has an incredibly high soccer IQ. He'll make some poor decisions and passes at times. But he also sees some passes that very few others see and he's great at give and gos. And that top level athleticism is unreal. I still don't know how he can out jump much taller defenders for headers. There's a reason Wes and Tyler are the backbone of our midfield. Tyler with his destroyer mentality and Wes with his versatility. I understand now why for the past several years he's chosen to stick with Juve even when every year the new manager thinks he's not needed. He just works his butt off and proves to the manager that he's indispensable.
