      Packers fans blame the defense for this game? Their defense played great, Aaron Rodgers played horribly. This should have been a blowout for the Packers, but Aaron Rodgers did not take advantage of turnovers that the defense caused that gave them excellent field position

      1:17:37 – About this play/flag.
      Initially, I thought for sure the flag was on the Packers, and more specifically, Clay Mathews for the hit on Wilson. The reason I thought this, is because Mathews falls on Wilson with ALL of his weight, and I got it in my head somewhere that the NFL actually implemented a rule that specifically forbids falling on the person you're tackling with all of your weight. But it may not have been implemented yet, OR, I could be insane and it never existed in the first place. Anyway, instead they threw the flag because of Sweeny's hit on Mathews, which I didn't think was really THAT out of line anyway lol…. it was just a friendly F-you, that's all….

      EDIT:
      "When tackling a passer who is in a defenseless posture (e.g., during or just after throwing a pass), a defensive player must not unnecessarily or violently throw him down or land on top of him with all or most of the defender's weight." – Excerpt from the NFL's operations website. So I was wrong in that it doesn't apply to EVERY tackle/hit, just the passer. Which Wilson happened to be in this case anyway. So, half-wrong lol….

      That pretty much describes exactly what you see Clay Mathews do in that Time Stamped clip up there. Oh and don't reply with some crap like "he was in mid-air, how could he have landed differently?", or any other crap like that lol…. You may not be a professional football player, but you still know how to pull that same tackle/hit off WITHOUT having to land on the person, it's hard to describe in writing, but you can feel it when you're doing it. Anyway, it's because of Clay's hit on Wilson that Sweeny got himself a little revenge, so I'm not the only one who noticed, I'm just surprised the refs didn't….

      Lastly, I know I've over-analyzed this a bit lol. I just love football, and I enjoy breaking down individual plays to dissect what's great about them, or what's wrong with them. I know, I'm weird, deal with it lol…. :))

      This is my 1st time looking at some of this game since it happened. My team GB outplayed this great team for 55 minutes but got outplayed the last 5 minutes of the game and lost.

      I had been to 5 Seahawks games against the Packers, one thing I totally saw consistently going back to 96, Packers fans are just awesome people. They were awesome whether won or lost and even after this game they were good sports and in pre game they were a blast. In 96 they took over the Kingdome and even though we were surrounded by them they were a blast. I remember one guy telling us how long they waited to have a team good enough to win the Super Bowl and not to get bummed over crappy seasons. But on this day, they showed such total class as we were walking out.
