Hopefully both Broja and Jude soonup bell can step up especially with 5subs coming in EPL, meaning more game time for them.
I wasn't excited about Lukaku signing at all, wanted Haland all summer and then ended up going for 3rd choice, i hope something changes in transfers with the new ownership, we need to stop going for 2nd and 3rd choice, most of all get players that fit the system

Great points raised about the deficiency of forward passing when runs are being made. Apart from Jorginho and Rudi, most of our team just forbid slide rule and chipped balls into the box and just reply on sending balls out wide. One of the reasons we create so little is the lack of dare we take while build up.
Lukaku is the worst transfer in Chelsea history. He is worse than Torres, kinda on Morata levels maybe worse. Damn the fact that we compared him to King Didier Drogba 👑

Great insight! Chelsea's scouting has SUCKED for a looooong time. They have consistently picked up players who have been a horrible tactical fit for the coach or team at the time. Over and over!
All this Lukaku talk but no talk about Thomas Tuchel not adjusting to a 100mil player he wanted. He seems to want the world but doesn't know how to use them. That's scary. From very early on Conte said that Lukaku was being used wrongly but Tuchel refused to change. This falls on both parties.
Wanted Lukaku to come to Chelsea and for that reason feel very upset about his interview. Feel like he betrayed me and other fans who wanted him.
He was injured in the game yesterday against Netherlands. Hope it is not serious and club will be able to get rid of him this summer.
I said it, maybe over 20 times that Lukaku wasn't going to work out. I was of opinion that Tammy Abraham was given a chance at least for one year.(unfortunately, for no reason Tuchel didn't like him) We just won a champions League, we could use one year to experiment, while we waited for Haaland.

Lukaku is a very bad signing…… arguments can be made about the system and whether he was the right fit……..none of these compare with Lukaku’s attitude who seem to be a one pattern player. He has not shown great adaptability…. that’s a problem. His ball control and touches have nothing to do with the system or what….. let him go or he will poison the entire locker room

Interesting times at Chelsea. Breaking transfer records that not work at Chelsea. A frequent problem unfortunately. Who are the scouts, what is the club process? Who decides upon the players? Defence plundered by Spanish clubs whilst lack lustre slap dash contract negotiations with mega key players allowed to drift. Easy street on the top deck. No one at top deck bothered to front up the media leaving it all to Thomas who anchored and did a brilliant job. Slap dash cruisers at board and transfer levels. Shocking. As for Lukaku the most shameful performance by this individual. In fact Belgian players have not been shy causing a stink at Chelsea over the years despite being world class have seriously dumped on Chelsea. A defence that scores masses of goals negligently abandoned presumably by the lauded Marina. Goodness knows. Our back line is STUFFED at the moment and forward line is under performing like Burnley…. no disrespect. Overall a bloody mess.

Marina should be held responsible for signing Lukaku against the wishes of Tuchel who wanted but Haaland. It's not the first time Marina is signing players against the wishes of Chelsea Coaches. It looks like she's making some extra moneys for her self if sign certain players not requested by Chelsea Coaches and Tuchel. Marina is heartless!!. It won't be surprising if she still fail to sign many of the players on Chelsea's list this transfer window. If she can make it difficult to sign free Agent players like Dembele, what do we expect again?.

Yes, I do agree that acquisition of Lukaku is another example of poor scouting at Chelsea. However, I still think deep down Lukaku didn't truly wanna be at CFC. Excuses excuses for Lukaku claiming that Tuchel has been using him incorrectly which I always thought was nonsense. Multiple times on post game Chelsea UCL matches on CBS one of the best strikers ever Thiery Henry has repeatedly confirm my observation. Henry has repeatedly said that Lukaku needs to make the adjustment to the players around him and not the other way around, if he wants to be really productive at Chelsea. Henry then went on to talk about his similar football experiences first at Arsenal and later at Barcelona. At Arsenal Wenger told him straight up that it was incumbent on him to make the adjustment to his forwards and midfielders and not the other way around. Consequently he knew what was truly required of him when he first arrived Barcelona too.
Lukaku too often is not dynamic enough. How do you account for that game vs Crystal Palace where he only 7 touches while playing most of the game. Let's stop making excuses for Lukaku. It's a sad situation but if he is gonna remain at Chelsea he has to get on same wavelength with his teammates.
