lo mismo que el comentario en ingles el sistema de frenos es centrifugo pero distinto en forma al que se ve aqui.siendo nuevo uno de los pasantes del centrifugo no traba en ninguna posicion aun asi es un fierro absoluto tambien tengo un curado 201 año 98 los dos son recomendables.

@arisingartist It sounds like you have the same model I do. What you want to do is move the cap looking things up or down to adjust.
When I use braid I put 2 of the 6 caps outward,
However when i use flouro I put 3 of the caps outward. It's important to alternate which caps you put outward. Since I put 3 of the 6 outward this is quite easy as I just put every other cap outward. When I do 2 caps outward though I make sure the 2 that I have pulled outward are opposite of one another. hope helps
I purchased the new revo s two days ago and returned it the same day because of a loud bearing noise after trying another one I was not to happy with it either and I am a big time revo fan, but I will stick with the old revo line because it seems like abu garcia sacrificed quality to make it light weight and I prefer a light reel but this felt to fragile. I am not a critict by any means I am just a disappointed revo fan.
Hello – sorry to hear you are having an issue with your new reel. Sounds like you have something out of the ordinary going on here and that the reel may have been damaged during shipping. If it was just slipping (and you didn't have the free spool issue) this is often caused by using braided line without backing the spool first with monofilament. This causes line slippage. In your case though, since the reel won't go into freespool, something else is wrong.

Hello – we are curious as to when you noticed this sound. Was it during casting? The reason we ask is that you might be hearing the centrifugal brake blocks spinning out (completely normal) instead of "bearing noise". This can be checked by opening up the sideplate and turning all the brake blocks off, casting again, and seeing if the noise disappears. I just purchased an abu garcia revo s today, man what a reel, it's incredibly smooth, I put it on an abu garcia veritas casting rod, it's an awesome combo. I also got an abu garcia c4 ambassadeur for christmas. I'm really happy with both of the reels, Abu garcia makes the best reels and I highly recommend them.
How do I take the plate off so I can manage my brakes?
Hello – if you have the generation 2 Revo S, look for the thumb screw on the handle side of the reel. Turn it counterclockwise until it releases from the palm sideplate. Once the palm sideplate is free from the thumb screw, rotate it in a counter clockwise motion until it stops. The palm sideplate can now be removed so that you can access the spool and braking system. On the newest gen 3 Revos, the only difference is that the thumb screw is spring loaded. So after unscrewing, pull

Do centrifugal brakes reengage automatically after the cast and retrieve or do I have to reengage it after every cast?

Which way turns them on or off. Is up on, or off. Is down on or off. This would be nice to know….
🙁 got the gen 3 kinda disappointed downtown cast far and pitch didn't work heard there has been some duds I'm happier with the pro max which is a whole $50 cheaper. Still Abu for life looking forward to possibly purchasing an inshore model or maybe one from the beast/ rocket series.
Definitely for me it's not a medium rod finesse reel.
Those spring loaded pins like to stick all the time. I cant cast 20 times before i have to readjust it
Yeah mine pitch thing dose not work and im not sure if the should what spot to put them in to turn them off.
I actually use mine inshore (yes, in salt water) all the time. It has had zero issues. I wash it off with fresh water every time and maintain it and it works like a champ. And you heard it here from their own channel that it is in fact perfect for both fresh AND salt water situations. Great reel.
