I own both. I EDC my G2C for capacity. I havent had a malfunction in either. Have roughly 2500 rounds through both. Taurus surprised me with this pistol!
shot a pt111 that jammed every other round, would you feel comfortable handing the g2c to a loved one to defend themself? im runnin a shield with a hyve monarch trigger, feels better than the stock trigger✌

The one thing that comes to mind when a gun has a safety that I don't think most people think about. an example or scenario: if your caught of guard ( NOONE IS PERFECT) someone side hits us or side blinds us with a hot or weapon. And plenty of videos out there that show that. A stranger can see our weapon potentially grab it and try firing it that second. If you had a safety and on position. That gave you a few seconds to react and close distance quickly and stop the threat that just grabbed your gun and tried to use it against you.
Wow well i guess you already claimed that you are not a taurus fan from the start as it is a truck gun n if stolen 😉 is less of a heartache than the shield.

The M&P is better built. But if you want a little more capacity the G2C would work. I just don't think I would trust my life to it.

When you bought the aftermarket trigger for the g2c, did you have to install a new spring or did u use the old one? Just curious
I have both. S&W worthless. FTF about 10-15 rounds out of a box of 50. Taurus has about 1500 rounds with not one single hick up. Except revolvers, everything else stay away from S&W products. Waste of money

Shield is just an objectively better gun, and it looks nicer too in my opinion. That being said I plan on picking up a g2c as a cheap beater gun some day soon. May even carry it that way I have a somewhat reliable gun that I wouldnt really care if something happened to it or if it was confiscated on the off chance I had to actually use it.

I know I’m late to the party I have the g2c and want to do the trigger. But I’m afraid it would be more likely to “go off” if dropped. Any opinions or facts on that? Thanks in advance.

I have the Shield 2.0 and the G2c. My state passed constitutional carry that goes into effect in July. Any ideas on which I should carry? I have upgraded and many extended mags for the Taurus. The shield is stock.
I have both. The g2c feels cheap and the Smith feels nice. They both work great. You pay for what you get especially with that nasty g2c trigger. In my opinion it is worth the extra money to get a shield, but the Taurus has lots of upgrades if you're interested in that.
Great review but please don't leave guns in your car folks. They are one of the most broken into things on the planet and you are arming criminals that could very well use your own gun against you.

I have them both, prefer the Taurus g3c, for daily carry!
I own both the G2c and Shield 2.0.
I have to say I honestly have better accuracy and shot groups with the G2c. I believe that's possibly due to it having a thicker grip. Also I have had absolutely no malfunctions of any type with my G2c. Unfortunately I've had multiple failure to eject issues with the Shield. While I still own both, I prefer the G2c.
