So many muppets mouth off about Frank but I'd like to see how they would react to being shot in the face point blank at almost 70 years of age. Frankie didn't say a word to anyone and, if you ask me, that's pretty f-ing tough.
There are a lot of comments here about Fraser being weak, a coward, a liar and a fake. I’m not qualified to say if this is true or not. There are also plenty of people saying how Foreman was truly hard and not afraid to get stuck in. There is also a lot of talk about respect as well, and how people can respect Foreman over Fraser any day of the week.
I will say this one thing. I find it very hard hold any respect for men whose fame, success or wealth were attained by violence, threats of violence, criminal damage, theft, extortion and criminal activity in general. Did people REALLY respect Foreman, Fraser, The Krays, The Richardson’s or any other of these gangsters? I hear the word respect in relation to them all the time. But I don’t think it was respect at all. They dominated the east end scene out of FEAR. People may call it respect, but it’s not the same thing at all.
Take two men.: One runs and enforces a protection racket, deals in stolen goods, kicks seven shades out of someone they consider a rival, murders people or orders the murder of people, extorts money and information out of people and who get what they want by hanging the threat of violence and retribution over other people. The other works hard in an honest job, sacrifices his own comfort and pleasure for the well-being of his wife and children, deals honestly with his fellow man and strives every day to adhere to the laws of the land and makes the very best of what little he has without trace of avarice. I know which one I’d respect.
