      Un tipo inteligente, con la cabeza despierta, de ahí su capacidad de anticipación en el robo de balones y en superar líneas de presión conduciendo el balón, buen pase largo y visión de juego, buen disparo que tarda muy poco en armar. A pesar de su edad me parece un gran fichaje. Porque cerebro le sobra para no correr en vano.

      Witsel Can play as pure 6 or 8. He's not fast and sometimes it look like game is slower because of him.. but just because he's doing his job perfectly. Best qualities of witsel are: not loosing a lot of balls and not taking a lot of risk

      Soy madridista pero siempre me ha gustado muchísimo este jugador. Tipo inteligente, muy bueno en anticipaciones y con buenos recursos defensivos. Ya no tiene tanta pegada como antes, pero es un tipo que puede ayudar mucho al Atleti. A él le deseo lo mejor, y a los atléticos felicidades por tan buena incorporación

      Benfica fan here! One of the most beautifully skilled players I had the pleasure to witness live in the stadium. He chose money at an early stage, now he can hopefully kill it at Atléti! I can’t conceive how such a talented dm has passed through his career so unconsidered. Pure class! Thank you for the football.

      Being a fan of the Belgian team, I have always liked this player for his ability to keep the ball and his vision of the game. But there, I discovered an acrobatic player, who can do everything.

      He almost never loses the ball, quite insane statistics. His father is always in the stance and counting Axel's mistakes. Two is the most he ever counted. Maybe not the most exciting player, but he's rocksolid.
